Since September, 2007, the Eidolon Foundation has been actively engaged in a successful prison ministry Outreach program. At least once a month, members of the Foundation, along with other volunteers, have been heading out the Southern Correctional Institute in Troy, NC, to work with inmates (both men and women) who have an interest in alternative religions and earth-based spirituality. The response, both from the inmates and the prison chaplin, has been overwhelmingly positive.
To support this endeavor, the Eidolon Foundation does depend on monetary donations to cover the cost of supplies, study books, books for the prison library, and to cover the cost of gas and other car-related expenses for the volunteers who drive out to the prison.
